Synopsis

Escribir nuestro nombre y seguir follows five women who, thirty years after being sterilised against their will as part of a brutal state policy in Peru, reflect on their experiences without becoming trapped in their pain. By blending rehearsals, staging and everyday life, the film captures a living memory that continues to resonate in words, in bodies and in the power of naming ourselves together. Retelling a story can also be a way of sustaining oneself. (FDM)
