Comandante Arian

A graduate of EAVE, Alba Sotorra has been working as a director and producer on feature films for cinema and television since 2005. Her films deal with the political, social and human conflicts of today, focusing on human stories that she explores from a very personal point of view. A major part of her work is related to the Middle East and addresses controversial modern-day issues involving conflicting world views. She has worked, filmed and lived all over the world and has spent lots of time in the Middle East, especially Syria, Turkey, Iran and Qatar.

She participated in SOURCES2 (2010), Berlinale Talent Campus (2011), Dokincubator (2014), IDFA Academy (2015) and the EAVE Producers Workshop (2017). She is a member of PROA and CIMA. She is the founder and director of the independent production company Alba Sotorra SL based in Barcelona.
