Marília Rocha (1978, Brazil) has been making films since 1999. In 2002 she co-created TEIA, a collective based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Since 2005 she has been a partner of the production company Anavilhana, along with Clarissa Campolina and Luana Melgaço. Her first film Aboio/Cattle Callers (2005) was awarded Best Brazilian Film at the It’s All True Documentary Film Festival. A falta que me faz/Like Water Through Stone  (2010) won the Best Film award at the São Paulo Latin America Film Festival. Her latest feature A cidade onde envelheço/Where I Grow Old (2017) won the Best Film and Best Direction awards at Brasilia, as well as the Best Film award at Biarritz.  Her works were programmed in a retrospective at Visions du Réel, Switzerland and at the International Film Festival of Ourense, Spain.
