Synopsis

The journey as a path to self-discovery, but also doubt as the master key that holds up a mirror in which we can be reflected. A couple, a daughter, a filmmaker and reflection: that moment of calm when everything seems to waver. This film reveals a distorted conception of time, full of twists and turns and backward loops, much like those overlapping images that lie at the very heart of the film. That the title includes the word ‘miracle’ is no coincidence: here, it speaks of opening one’s eyes again. (LEP)

Director biography

David Varela

David Varela es cineasta, docente, distribuidor y programador de formación autodidacta. Hasta el momento ha producido y dirigido tres largometrajes y diversos cortos y mediometrajes documentales. Sus películas se han exhibido y premiado en festivales internacional y Centros de Arte como el Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid), MUSAC (León) , Filmoteca Española (Madrid), Festival de San Sebastián, Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón, Documenta Madrid, Festival de Málaga, ZINEBI, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival o el Festival Internacional de Cine de Cali.
