In Atlas of Disappearance, Manuel Correa follows the search of several families trying to find those who were erased from history. Through archives, maps and forensic research, the film shows how past violence continues to be present today and how, at times, this quest is also a way of restoring names, places and memories to those who were erased. Manuel Correa is a Colombian artist and filmmaker based in Madrid. His work explores memory and post-conflict reconstruction in contemporary societies. Correa holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Architecture from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and was part of the Forensic Architecture project. He is currently an Afield Transitional Justice Fellow. His works have been featured in venues such as the main exhibition of the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2025: Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective. The Spanish Pavilion at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale, Kunsthaus Graz, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Tamayo Museum in Mexico, MediaLab Matadero and other spaces.
