A montage created from film clips from the first half of the 20th century. A restoration on 35mm film of which only a single print exists, circulating even as it deteriorates. The format does not play a neutral role: it ages, wears out, accumulates memories and eventually runs out… Shackleton shows no interest in its reproducibility beyond projection; each screening is unique and unrepeatable.
