Head of the Intermediae programme at Matadero Madrid, which focuses on experimental creation from a community and social perspective. He is a graduate of the PEI – Programme of Independent Studies at MACBA (Barcelona), and he holds a PhD from the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, London. In relation to cinema and the moving image, he is the author of a study on the work of queer video artist Stuart Marshall (1949-1993), co-founder of London Video Arts, published as an essay in the journal Afterall (2016). He was also a member of the editorial team for Antología/Apología (2016), the first compilation to bring together fifty years of audiovisual work in Spain. He also co-curated, together with Soledad Gutiérrez, the exhibition Lo inconmensurable (CentroCentro, Madrid, 2017), based on the Pi Fernandino Collection, one of Spain’s leading video art collections.
