Universidad Complutense de Madrid and DocumentaMadrid are promoting, in partnership with Filmin, a new collaborative effort between the academic world and documentary film to foster debate, reflection and audiovisual creation among students. For the first time, the two institutions have made a call for the university community to submit and share their own audiovisual reflections on the aftermath of wars, a reality the festival will delve further into with the film series ‘War Scenarios’.
The UCM’s Communication Faculty is to become one of the festival’s official venues and will be hosting some film screenings in this series. During these sessions, the highest rated audiovisual work sent in by the students will also be announced and screened.
To aide in the students’ research, the VOD platform Filmin is joining the initiative through the creation of a special about war conflicts.
