Professional Space

Just as it was in 2018, the Taller de Matadero has again been outfitted as the Professional Area, to serve as a meeting and exchange point for professionals
attending the festival.

In this work area, we are hosting the now traditional Meetings with
Filmmakers whose films are participating in the festival.

DocumentaMadrid would like to set up a line of dialogue between filmmakers and experts in order to foster ongoing and fluid debate that will provide a raison d’être to the idea of a film community, which we hope to make up part of the festival’s defining identity.
The mornings at the Taller will fill up with ideas, conversations and informal talks, during which professionals will be able free to meet and get to know the filmmakers, ask them questions and comment on the films that have screened over the previous days. A unique opportunity to get first-hand experience of what motivates and drives the directors to make their films and to present them to
audiences that are eager to partake in their creative experiences.
