Synopsis

In September 2006, after two long years of bureaucratic paperwork to obtain the right permits, I finally arrived in Chukotka. I wanted to share the life of the last whale hunters living on earth, which to me represent a thousand-year-old tradition and a hunting instinct nearly unchanged for centuries. Somehow, after the experience of the Aral disaster, confronting the oldest marine hunting tradition seemed the best idea.
