Barcelona, 1966. A degree holder in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, she tried to find a way to make the most of the melodramatic footage that gets spewed out by the mass media and that limits our critical thinking skills. In some of her films, she subverts the catatonic effects of visual culture by inserting a poetic that is subtly-critical of the status quo. In 2008 she received several awards for Lo que tú dices que soy (2007). This documentary is one part in the experimental film program "Del éxtasis al arrebato. 50 años del otro cine español", which has traveled to major museums and film archives across Europe, the USA and Latin America. Her other short films are: Hágase tu voluntad (2004), Mi hermana y yo (2009), Espacio simétrico (2010), Improvisaciones de una ardilla (2017) and Respirar, correr, mirar (2019). She has also directed the feature films l jurado (2012) and Basilio Martín Patino. La décima carta (2014).
