The first film shot by minors in a state-run foster care center. Five girls between the ages of 13 and 17 decide to film their lives with the help of a filmmaker. The age of 18 is approaching, and with it the loss of state protection. No family, no home, no education and no money, they confront their fate and make mistakes overcoming them in this moving portrait of the real life situation for 40,000 minors under state guardianship in Spain.
Pedro Sara is a Photographer, filmmaker and director and teacher of Unocine and Dentrocine schools, film schools for adolescents and young people at risk of social exclusion. Together with the psychotherapist Violeta pagán he founded the methodology of “cinema to heal wounds”, based on the miscegenation between cinema and psychotherapy. Throughout his career he works as a photographer and assistant director with directors such as Isaki Lacuesta. As an author, he develops his cinematographic works as well as related to photography and video art.
