Synopsis

Pereda returns to Documenta Madrid with a mysterious, moving, miniature homage to Chantal Akerman, conceived as a series of playfully impossible letters addressed to the deceased cinema great that respond to her fictitious enquiry about renting his luminous Coyoacan apartment. (JL)

Nicolás Pereda

Nicolás Pereda has made 9 features and 4 shorts. He often collaborates with the theater collective Lagartijas tiradas al sol and actress Teresa Sánchez. His work has been the subject of over 30 retrospectives worldwide and has been presented in most major international film festivals including Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Locarno, and Toronto.
