Synopsis
These are the days of digital relationships. We spend long hours connected via screens, jumping back and forth between spectator and performer. Claudia attends her daily classes on Zoom and, while the teacher lectures about video art and experimental cinema, all she thinks about is Fede. They look, they look at each other, they are looked at. With freshness, intelligence and humor, this secret piece highlights the importance of the minimum (a gesture, the averting of the gaze, smiles...), and explores the places where online life and body language meet. A fiction film, of the fantasy genre, that speaks to us about cyber love, life and art... who would've thought! (AD)
Director biography
Claudia Negro García
Claudia Negro (Madrid, 1997) is a documentary film and video art director. In 2015 she began her training as a filmmaker at ECAM, opting for the speciality of documentary filmmaking. In 2017 she made her first short film, "Concerto em F", which circulated in different festivals around the world like Medfilm Festival (Italy) or the Minsk International Listapad (Belarus).
In 2018 she co-directed with Lucía Touceda, Javier Cástor Moreno and Raúl Vallejo "Los Pilares",
a documentary that premiered at the Seville Film Festival. The film won the award for the best
medium-length film at the Alcances festival in Cadiz, received a special mention at the Márgenes
festival in Madrid and passed through various festivals such as the D'A Film Festival in Barcelona.
In 2018 she was a jury member in the "Pasajes" section of the Filmadrid film festival and in the
Methexis project at the Medfilm Festival in Rome. She has participated in numerous workshops with filmmakers such as Virginia García del Pino, Andrés Duque or Laida Lertxundi. In the course 2019-2020, she received a scholarship in Masterlav, where she made different pieces in the first person: "The other day I dreamt that my teeth were falling out", "Story of a
generation born out of a neurosis" or "The movie of the algorithm".
