Synopsis

This is not just another film about the pandemic, but rather another lucid approach by the always spot-on, sarcastic and brilliant English director to the political ineffectiveness of Boris Johnson's government in dealing with the healthcare crisis. Using the British Prime Minister's public speeches and contrasting them with the official numbers of infected and dead, Smith builds up —or rather, brings down— the prime minister's official discourse, while at the same time demonstrating how the strategies used by political power to manipulate are more valid than ever.
