Miguel Ribeiro is the current director of Doclisboa.  A degree holder in Communication Sciences from the New University of Lisbon, his career at the Portuguese festival began in 2012 when he joined as a film programmer and programming coordinator.  In 2020, he became part of the festival management and since 2016 has sat on the board of directors of Apordoc (Portuguese Documentary Association). At the same time, Miguel was part of the artistic collective Rabbit Hole (2013- 2016) and founded the production company Filmes do Asfalto, where he produced the film António, Um Dois Três, by Leonardo Mouramateus (2017). Miguel is a regular fixture at international film festivals and has served on juries at festivals such as CPH:DOX, Thessaloniki, Malaga, Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, among others.
