Vitality, rhythm, movement, immediacy, experimental filmmaker Marie Menken (1909-1970) composes using light and movement, defying any traditional narrative. Her film work is a visual beat, a sensory diary, a dance between the eye and the world. In Notebook, she fragments experience, liberates it, turns the everyday into a symphony of perceptions. (CG)
