Synopsis
In 1933 Aurora Rodríguez shot dead her own daughter Hildegart, while she was sleeping. The young woman, just eighteen years old, was one of the most prominent feminists of the Second Spanish Republic. But she was also a perfectly calculated product designed by her mother for her to be the liberator of women. Aurora’s plans didn’t work out as she’d hoped.

Marcos Nine
Author of more than a dozen titles and winner of more than twenty awards with works such as Pensando en Soledad (2006), Radiografía de un autor de tebeos (2010), La Brecha (2011) or El viaje de Leslie (2014), which have participated in prestigious festivals such as BAFICI, SEMINCI, SIFF Seattle, AFI Discovery Channel Silver Docs or Málaga Festival. A virxe roxa is his third feature film.
