XV Festival Internacional de Cine Documental
Forming a diptych with Rocío y José, always centred around the experience of El Rocío, Tres caminos al Rocío maintains a calm and restrained view and maintains that tension between the popular eye of Pasolini and the heroic vision of John Ford, as rightly pointed out by the critics at the time, as it records the winter pilgrimage along the roads of Seville, Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Huelva.
Gonzalo García-Pelayo (Madrid, 1947) is one of the fundamental cult authors of Spanish cinema. Responsible for dozens of films from 1968 to the present day, including titles such as Manuela (1975) and Vivir en Sevilla (1978), all his work is characterized by its vitalism, transgression and insubordination.
