XV Festival Internacional de Cine Documental
Mariamu, an Afro-descendant ticket-taker in a Madrid cinema, dreams of writing a film. The characters in her scriptbecome flesh and blood to meet her, a candid filmmaker on the verge of losing her creative virginity. An unprecedented filming process in which five young female directors discover the power of cinema to rewrite their stories, to go from being objects or victims to representing themselves as heroines and creators. Made and produced at the Cineteca Madrid Dentro Cine School and Matadero Madrid, this is an artistic and therapeutic project for young people at risk of social exclusion, directed by Pedro Sara and Violeta Pagán.
