XV Festival Internacional de Cine Documental
Every spring, from all corners of Andalusia, brotherhoods set off for the village of El Rocío, in the province of Huelva. In Camino al Rocío we accompany the brotherhood of Granada in the days leading up to their arrival: an essay on two screens that looks at El Rocío from the perspective of social anthropology and profound respect.
Ignacio G. Merlo (Granada, 1974) is the director of the films Fiebre (2011), Morería 17 (2015), La máscara de cristal (2019) and Ojalá mañana (2020). With them he has participated and won awards at various festivals, including Seville, Toulouse, Cali and Márgenes.
