Head of Verbena Films, where she works as a screenwriter, director and producer, Ana Puentes holds a degree in screenwriting from ECAM and trained in film directing at EICTV, in Cuba. She has written and directed several short films; among them, she has co-written Tabib, nominated for the 2018 Forqué Awards, Bienvenus, selected at the American Documentary Festival, and Mi vida al principio, in co-production with White Leaf Producciones. She is currently developing her series project, Tribu, selected at the Coofilm residency, and the feature film Flores para una madre ausente, selected at Labguion (Colombia). She is also an analyst and has worked with The Screen, Abycine Lanza and FilmNow.
