Synopsis

Echoing back to Arrieta and García Pelayo, this captivating, atypical, unusual and freeform film is an immersion - simultaneously aseptic and delirious - into a universe of its own, one in which a filmmaker films himself… until it clearly shows reality breaking apart and the coexistence of multiple, illusory selves. With a tone of distraught, unsettling and self-critical existentialism, the film stands apart from prevailing trends and surfs through territories vaguely crossed by Pirandellian flashes and aromatic hints akin to Philip K. Dick, but does so out of a drive for traditional roots. (AD)

Biografía del director

Adrián García Prado

Since his career (Audiovisual Communication), he has dedicated himself to the study of experimental cinema and works with archive materials creating the YouTube channel Movieswilltearusapart. Thus, since 2015, he has made different experimental video films with his own home camera where he studies the geometric shapes of the painting, light, sound and time as filmic and experiential matter of the shoot, incorporating autobiographical elements in all of them.
In 2019, these studies led him to make his first film, Actos de Primavera, which was released worldwide that same year at the Novos Cinemas Festival in Pontevedra and in May 2020 at the D’A festival in Barcelona. It is the climax of all these investigations, where the idea of a filmed diary comes into harmony with the exploration of the expressive and material components of the film process.
