Everlasting summer. Everlasting youth. The utopia of the new human. The park forest of Aulanko has always been the place where you can see the prevailing ideas and styles. In 1938 functionalist Hotel Aulanko opened its doors. In the late summer of 1939, only a month before the Second World War erupted, a party arrived at the hotel. One of the members of the party was nineteen-year-old up-and-coming actress Sirkka Sari. What happened to her? What happened to us?

Jani Peltonen gratuated from Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Institute of Design, Film and Television Department in 2008. His thesis film was documentary The Great Mill. Since then he had been working in the Finnish film industry in several duties. A Tall Man was his professional debut as a director. The films was screened in several international film festivals (Visions du Réel, Karlovy Vary IFF,Era New Horizons, Melbourne IFF…). At 2012 he participated to Berlinale Talent Campus. His latest film is called White Chimney.
