Synopsis

The work of Utako Koguchi (Tokyo, 1961) shifts between the ephemeral, the sensorial and the dreamlike. Utako's films evoke a suspended temporality, where image and body dialogue in silence. They explore the fragility of perception, creating spaces for intimate contemplation that blur the boundary between reality, memory and dream, as this view of the natural world attests to. (CG)
