Shooting film as a way of breathing. Ute Aurand's camera is an extension of her own body, inseparable from the filmmaker herself. As she shoots films, new films with the same circumstances emerge from out of the filmmaker's surroundings. Sakura, Sakura is one example. While shooting Junge Kiefern about Japan, this beautiful portrait came about of two Japanese women in Nara and Roppongi.(CG)
