In the shadow of the forest, a flash pierces the darkness causing all matter to vibrate. Air, water and earth are attuned in a cycle that begins and ends with no one noticing. Everything used to be white. Now, it is only a vestige, as time moves ever onward and everything transforms it. Between the visible and the invisible, everything is on the verge of either being born or fading away. A murmur in the current. The sound dissolves beneath the sea surface, where the fish glide along like shadows between reflections. Night returns, the stars burn on. Light glimmers through the branches, revealing what the eye alone cannot. With each 16 mm frame, Pneuma reveals the essence of that which persists, inviting us to feel the presence of the invisible around us. (FDM)
