Tusquets frames this previously unreleased film at a decisive cultural moment: years before the dictator's death, when "suggestive things were starting to happen". Imagen de la ciudad was created together with Bofill for the Tarragona Architecture Congress (May 1967). The film shoot in the streets of Barcelona entailed Ricardo filming in Super 8 while Oscar drove a convertible. The interiors, shot in the studio of photographer Oriol Maspons, show Serena and Beatriz dancing. It is a modest but laid-back journey where the curvy shapes of the facades in Cerdà's Barcelona are presented in relation to the female body. A dialogue is established between the modernist tradition, the symbols of pop culture and the powerful visual language of the Archigram group.
