XV Festival Internacional de Cine Documental
In the sixties, just before starting his career as a feature film director and his side work at Anticine, Javier Aguirre had a brief stint as a documentary filmmaker, which gave him the chance to test out many procedures he would put into practice in the avant-garde dimension of his work. El rastro belongs to that period of several mystery-filled years, the films from which are demonstrative of Aguirre's portentous vision. El rastro has rarely been seen over the last sixty years and makes an opportunity to recover this vision, one that straddles anthropology and the avant-garde of one of this city's signs of identity.
The film has been restored by the ECAM Archive in collaboration with the Filmoteca Española.
