Daniela Alatorre is a Mexican producer, filmmaker and cultural promoter with over two decades of experience in the film industry and 20 film productions. She worked for more than 15 years as general producer and head of the Documentary Programming Committee of the Morelia International Film Festival, and in 2017 she founded the production company No Ficción which she co-directed until the end of 2023.
Some of her most recognized work includes such films as El General and Users directed by Natalia Almada, Una Película de Policías by Alonso, and most recently Igualada by Juan Mejía Botero.
She has served as a juror and evaluated work at numerous festivals and funds across the world. She is a member of the Mexican Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of the United States. She has served as Director General of the Mexican Film Institute since October 2024.
