"I would hardly say you have no plants in your house, I'd say you just have an expanded definition of house," says a friend to Sundog. The lead character in this film is a 60-year-old man living in the middle of the Sonora desert in Arizona. A sensitive exploration of this man and his desert, of his sustainable way of life and unshakable resistance to that other way of life he calls the “dominant culture”. Somewhere between an observation of his day-to-day (hunting, gathering, searching for hallucinogens of animal origin) and the possibility of a future in which that culture of vigilance and destruction gets kept out of the desert.
