Synopsis
Everything is pixels. Working with dual screens and sound from Fernando Ruiz Vergara's infamous film Rocío, Isaki Lacuesta visits a place whose name I don't want to remember down in southern Spain. A place that seems outside of time and yet proves to be contemporary nonetheless. (GDP)

Isaki Lacuesta
Isaki Lacuesta (1975, Girona) has written and directed nine feature films (documentary and fiction) and several documentaries for TV.
His films have been shown at festivals around the world and in prestigious artistic centers such as MOMA in New York, the National Gallery in Washington (which dedicated a complete retrospective to him in 2013), Lincoln Center and Anthology Film Archives (New York). The Paris Centre Pompidou is preparing a complete retrospective of his features and documentaries (November 2018- January 2019).
Among other awards in his career, he has received the Golden Shell in San Sebastian International Film Festival, Generalitat de Catalunya National Cinematic Prize, the Golden FIPA in the Biarritz International Audiovisual Programs, Gaudi for the Best Film (twice).
