The director confronts her parents' negligence by taking a critical look back at her family history in an entirely non-self-indulgent way. This powerfully analytical and formal autobiographical essay wields refreshing aesthetic courage to reveal the fissures that emerge in the gestures, words, memories and family history. (RS)
Brenda Boyer
She studied Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the University of Valencia. For years she dedicated her life to traveling and dabbling in different areas, ending up as a Jack of all trades, master of none: she got her training in sound art, was a techno DJ, took part in various video-art and performance projects dealing with gender and sexuality issues, took part in feminist-queer activism, facilitator in group dynamics and a multidisciplinary spectator. In 2014 she decided to move to Madrid to do a Master's and focus on documentary filmmaking, where she started developing her first project, *en lugar de nada, which she has been working on over the last 4 years.
