Gustavo Fontán introduces us to love's transience or perpetuity by way of brief revelations documented in the bus terminal of the Cordoba city of La Falda, Argentina. With no direct interviews, the audience hears in whispered voice-over about their experiences in love, making it into a filmic poem of light and shadow. Those arriving or departing on intercity buses are mainly workers. They wait. They come and go. It is a place of welcomes and farewells, each interaction leaving a trace, phantoms that Fontán's filmmaking manages to immortalize. (IG)
