The Fourth Kingdom depicts the day-to-day life of a can collection and recycling center in a New York neighborhood. Through Rene, an illegal worker from Mexico, and the relationships he builds with his co-workers, we explore the lie of the American Dream. In the face of disappointment, alcohol is usually the escape, but in René's case, he also discovers beauty and art in the world around him.
