Based on a revised and updated myth of Pygmalion and Galatea, this brilliant audiovisual essay contrasts, composes and reconstructs archival footage with guidance from a voice-over. A powerful, aggressive and necessary feminist manifesto about how the female body is represented and the utilitarian sense of its sexuality when seen from under the male gaze. (JY)
