Description
A woman drags along a fishing net from the banks of a murky river. A voice comes over a bullhorn announcing the water is not potable. It could be any country in the so-called third world. It could be any woman from any people agonizing under the uncontrolled practices of civilization at work. Concise, unmitigated audiovisual paradigm of a raw planet. (DV)

Biography of the director
Mark Olexa
He is a Swiss director and producer and one of two founders of DOK MOBILE, a film production company based in Fribourg, Switzerland.
In 2015, he and Francesca Scalisi directed and produced the short film Moriom, which received the award for best short documentary at Slamdance, Chicago International Film Festival, the Brooklyn Film Festival, FRONTDOC and got the special mention at Winterthur Kurzfilmtage, Minimalen and FIDBA. It was also screened at IDFA, Tampere, BFI London International Film Festival, Palm Springs Short Fest, Uppsala, among others.
Their first feature-length documentary Half-life in Fukushima, shot in Japan in S16mm, received the award for best documentary in 2017 at the Silk Road Festival, at the Broadway International Film Festival and at dokumentART. Mark is also one of the creators and the artistic director of the Flying Film Festival, a short-film competition in partnership with Swiss International Air Lines, held entirely in the air.
Francesca Scalisi
She is an Italian director and editor. She is one of two founders of DOK MOBILE, a film production company based in Fribourg, Switzerland.
