DocumentaMadrid announces the poster for its 16th edition, which graphically alternates the festival's new logo with enigmatic images by photographer Luana Fischer. "We want the festival's programming to foster sensitivity and critical analysis among audiences. Documentary film starts out from premises, realities and points of view that society does not always face up to. The poster for the 16th edition reflects the creative freedom, the new languages, the intrigue and provocation that will also be part of this new edition of the festival", explains David Varela, codirector of DocumentaMadrid.

Luana Fisher, a photographer of Brazilian origin and lecturer at the LENS Escuela of Madrid, is the author of the images selected for the poster, which come from a personal project called Cápsula: "In it, I try to draw a portrait of Lola, a now eighty-year-old woman who lived out the postwar years and dictatorship in a small town in León. Almost all the objects appearing in the photos from this series are inside small boxes or some kind of wrapping, and as such represent frustrated, closed-off, encapsulated longings".
