Synopsis

Director Sami Mermer returns to his Kurdish home town of Anatolia to reunite with relatives and neighbors. For the most part, the town is inhabited by women whose husbands have emigrated and not returned. An honest and powerful portrait on how the mass exodus has affected daily life for a group of independent women coping with the abandonment through work, resentment and humor. (RS)
