Soledad al fin del mundo

Filmmaker and artist whose work encompasses film, sound and the visual arts. His films have been screened and awarded at festivals around the world, including the Venice Film Festival, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Buenos Aires International Film Festival, the Mexico International Film Festival, FID Marseille, and others. His work has been exhibited and performed at international art institutions and galleries, including the Tate Modern, London, Fondation Cartier, Palais de Tokyo, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Hangar Bicocca, Milan, CCCB Barcelona, GAM Torino, Bozar Bruxelles, just to name a few.

With a background in visual arts, he has directed advertising spots, tv shows, documentary films, multimedia performances and graphic works. In 2000 he was granted a scholarship by Fabrica, Benetton’s research and communication center located in Italy. For two years he developed communication campaigns for companies such as Coca Cola, Tim and La Biennale di Venezia and for organizations such as Peter Gabriel’s “Witness” and the FAO of the United Nations. He also developed a series of documentary films (Trash, Choi Hung Estate and Patagonia) for Colors magazine, founded by Oliviero Toscani and Tibor Kalman. His work has been shown at museums such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Italian Cultural Institute in London, MALBA in Buenos Aires and the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition in Milan.  His first feature film, Loneliness at the End of the World (Soledad al Fin del Mundo) has been shown at several festivals worldwide including Rotterdam, Torino, Mexico City, Gijon, Barcelona and Korea, receiving awards such as the Special Award from the Jury at BAFICI 2006.
