Synopsis

Ale and Pietro are two teenagers from Naples who, through recordings they make on their iPhone, not only portray themselves, their concerns and their conflicts, but also immerse us in their open world directly and spontaneously. They end up making an urgent and tragic, yet also sensitive, social portrait of the marginal neighborhoods in that Italian city. (JY)

Biography of the director

Agostino Ferrente
Agostino Ferrente

Agostino Ferrente is a director, producer and artistic director. Before getting involved in cinema, he was an editorial coordinator for magazines and news programs aimed at Italian communities living abroad. After earning a degree from the DAMS in Bologna and attending Ermanno Olmi’s Ipotesi Cinema, he directed short films and music videos, producing them with his company Pirata Manifatture Cinematografiche. He’s also part of the multiethnic band L'Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio.

In 2001, he and ten other collaborators founded the Apollo 11 group in Rome, which saved the historical Apollo cinema theatre from becoming a bingo hall. By promoting film, music and writing, the group turned it into one of the liveliest cultural centres in the Italian capital, the first with an ongoing program dedicated to cinema of the real. He is currently working on his first non-documentary feature film.
