The work and collective experiences of gathering and hunting in a village in Senegal and in another in Catalonia: some of them sing and dance while fishing; others no longer do. Some celebrate life and death through rituals and ceremonies; others not so much anymore. With utter familiarity and simplicity, Escartín gives us a two-fold reflection on our human condition in a world in perpetual mutation. (DV)

In the late 80s, he was educated on the streets of New York and Brooklyn, where he started out in film at the age of 21 after working by chance as an assistant to Jonas Mekas at the Anthology Film Archives. Since then, he has been making personal documentaries for over thirty years all over the world, in search of himself.
