Under thick of night on an island in Mozambique, Smogi patiently awaits meeting his friend Djo. Hearing his insistent calling, others come to meet him and Smogi tells them how he met Djo in an animistic and magical portrait of symbiosis and affection between species. (RS)

She is a photographer and Koropa is her first film. She is currently developing her next film M'Tsamboro which will also take place in the Comoros. Winner of the Découverte Prize from the Rencontres Internationales de Photographie of Arles in 2007, her photographic work is represented by the Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire.
