Given proof that Earth is not eternal, Ernesto takes inspiration from Metatron in designing his own alternative universe. Obsessed over how he and his project will be recorded, he is certain that the ideas alone, and not the creator, should be what transcend.

Biography of the director

Alejandro Alonso
He graduated in Documentary Film Directing from the EICTV. With Crisálida, he won the Best Short Documentary Award at the Oaxaca Festival and the Short Documentary Award at the NYC Short Film Festival. Cierra los Ojos got a mention at the 12th ICAIC Young Film Series, while Velas won the Best Documentary Award at the 13th edition. La Despedida made its international premiere at IDFA, was awarded Best Film in the Aciertos category UNAM International Film Festival, got the Special Mention of the Jury at the 44th Sehsüchte Festival and Best Documentary at the Gibara Film Festival. Duelo premiered at Cinema du Réel, made the official selection at Mar del Plata and won the Best Short Film award at the Popoli Festival. El Proyecto made its world premiere at Visions du Réel and won the FIPRESCI Award at DOK Leipzig.
