Director Virginia García del Pino orchestrates an arrangement of raw images taken from Spanish politics with reflections from Josep Maria Esquirol (National Essay Award, 2016). Improvising off them, the philosopher uses argumentative phrasing to lay bare our entertainment society alongside sequences that cleverly demystify the standard language of power. (MMF)

Virginia García del Pino
A director and artist, she makes up part of "new Spanish film d'auteur" and teaches the UAB's Masters in Documentary Film. Her work has toured extensively at festivals and Contemporary Art Centers. In 2008 she received several awards for Lo que tú dices que soy. Her first feature film, El Jurado (2012) has competed at the Marseille Film Festival, Valdivia Film Festival and Punto de Vista. Basilio Martín Patino, la 10ª carta (2014) premiered at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
