Nayra Sanz
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Hispanic Philology with a specialization in contemporary literature. She did part of her doctoral thesis at Humboldt University in Berlin thanks to a German DAAD grant. With this film, she received another grant to do a Masters in Film Management in New York.
Upon returning to Spain, she created the production company Rinoceronte Films S.L., which focuses on self-producing films and carrying out cultural projects. At present, her filmography consists of five fiction and non-fiction short films which have won several awards and together have participated in over 180 festivals worldwide. Her first feature film, Tan antiguo como el mundo (2012), won the Precolombino de Oro Award at the 29th Bogota Film Festival and has taken part in several festivals, in addition to being screened at different cultural centers and universities.
