Gastón Andrade
He studied screenwriting and directing at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos at the UNAM. He did the cinematography on the short film Río Lerma, winner of the Ariel prize for best short film in 2011. With his fiction short film Los murmullos he won the Ingmar Bergman Award for Best New Director at the Uppsala, International Short Film Festival.
His documentary El árbol participated in, among others, the IDFA, the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival and won the Danzante Award for Best Documentary at the Huesca International Film Festival and the award for Best Mexican Documentary at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico.
