Despite pressure from the authorities, a gentle Irish farmer refuses to sell the property he inherited from his ancestors. The power of the American company trying to buy his land is great, but the main character’s resolve is even greater. Through complicit camerawork, we get a glimpse of the everyday life of this unique character and his struggle against a powerful system. (LGV)

Feargal Ward
A Berlin-based filmmaker and cinematographer, he made his directorial debut with Yximalloo (2014), co-directed with Tadhg O’Sullivan, which premiered at FID Marseille 2014 where it won the Prix Premier before subsequently screening at festivals worldwide. His work has been screened and broadcast internationally, including on Channel 4 (UK), Al Jazeera, MoMA NY, and CPH:DOX.
