NEW DEADLINE for submissions: February 25
The new Professional Forum will give support to documentary films that are produced or co-produced in Spain and in the advanced stages of editing or post-production.
It will grant awards worth over 22,000 euros.
Today, the International Documentary Film Festival DocumentaMadrid 2018 is opening its call for entries for CORTE FINAL, the 1st Edition of the Professional Documentary Filmmaking Forum of Madrid. This new Forum will provide support for independent documentary productions that are auteur films in nature and have a run-time of between 50 and 120 minutes.
Starting today, January 17, and through February 18, submissions will be accepted free of charge at the festival website (Spanish only) for documentary feature films produced or co-produced in Spain on which filming has been completed and that are now in an advanced stage of editing or post-production. Additionally, directors of Spanish nationality may participate in the call for entries, even if they do not have a Spanish production company.
The objective of Corte Final is to create a space for reflecting on, recognizing and supporting documentary film projects by aiding in funding them and stimulating the creation of collaborative networks among the professionals involved.
