The number of titles registered in the festival's history has been exceeded
Last January 31st, the registration deadline for the films of the competitive sections of the XIV edition of DOCUMENTAMADRID ended, with a resounding success in terms of the number of works received. More than 1700 films, including feature films (960) and short films (756), from a total of 112 countries, including France, Portugal, Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Jordan, Laos, Greenland, Ghana, Australia, Japan, Syria, Tanzania, Nepal, Namibia or Mozambique, among many others. As for the films produced and co-produced in Spain, we have received a total of 356 films. In both cases, the number of titles registered in the entire history of the festival has been exceeded.
From DOCUMENTAMADRID we would like to thank all participants deeply for their confidence in the festival and wish them the best of luck. Our selection team is working to build a renewed, diverse and quality programme, which will be distributed among the 6 competitive sections, 4 of them newly created, among which will be distributed over € 45,000 in prizes.
